The Our Environment series is designed to assist teachers in the implementation of an outcomes based approach to the teaching of Humanities. The series explores various environmental aspects with a strong emphasis on school environmental concerns with a community focus. The series is divided into five sections including land, air, water, energy and waste, each of which contains activities which provide practical experiences in focusing on and monitoring environmental concerns within the community. Titles in the series include:

- Waste and Energy
Our Environment Book 3: Energy and Waste has energy activities that focus on sources of energy, solar, electrical, water and wind energy; lighting; heating/cooling; and energy conservation. Waste activities focus on home, school and community waste; recycling paper, plastic and glass; compost and worm farms.
