(Includes Link to Online Playlist of All Songs)
Bush Living Activity Book – A Music Program is a practical music resource designed to be used in conjunction with the Bush Living Music Book. However, it can also be used as a standalone music program. It includes an instrumental / vocal playlist, “Sounds of the Bush” which contains ten bush-themed songs. Accompanying learning activities are based on experiences and creatures that live in the bush, fostering a greater awareness of our land, natural environment and Australian identity. The material provided in this music program focuses specifically on the core value of caring for the environment, in which the central theme is a respect for Australia’s natural and cultural heritage.
This unique package is a valuable resource for both music specialists and generalist teachers. It can be used to achieve successful outcomes in The Arts and Humanities learning areas. The focus of Bush Living Activity Book – A Music Program on the student learning outcomes provides a cross-curricular approach that emphasises a holistic approach to learning. Assessment techniques are varied and encompass the principles in current curriculum documents.
All activities are linked to student outcome statements.
